Emir cümlelerinin dolaylı konuşmada  ( indirect speech) nasıl kullanılacağı hakkındaki bu bilgilerin bu konuda yeterli bir bilgi verebildiğine inanıyoruz. Umarım doyurucu olmuştur.

Study the examples.

Mrs. White to Rose : Brush your hair. (1) (direct)
Mrs. White told Rose to brush her hair. (indirect)

Mrs White to Rose : Dont go out without brushing your hair next time. (2)

(indirect)

Anne asked her mother to take her to the funfair. (indirect)

Anne to her mother : Please dont say ‘No’ Mum.(4) (direct)

As seen above, while reporting an affirmative imperative, we use to+verb (1). If the imperative is negative, we use not to+verb. (2) Requests are reported int he same way, but we use ask as a reporting verb instead of tell. (3,4)

NOTE: While reporting imperatives, we can also use order, command, warn, etc. according to the situation.
